Commercial Work

Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane

January 18th, 2016

The Royal Children’s Hospital was established in 1878 as the Hospital for Sick Children and was renamed in 1967. Although the site is no longer a functioning Hospital, Keen Concreting has performed multiple works at the site throughout its history.

Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

  • Preparation works for the new nuclear medicine holding facility
  • Upgrades at the skin culture clinic
  • Pedestrian access footpaths
  • Retaining walls

Other aspects of the project included working working in confined spaces, access constraints and working in and around a sensitive public space, working within a restricted area, and working within strict timelines to minimise impact on hospital functions.
